    Hi @FeisalKassim,

As long as PayPal accepts sales and payments in Africa, joining the Sketchfab Store should not be an issue. I've replied to you in your Help Center ticket. Feel free to reply there if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!

@serribaba At the moment, it's not possible to sell through the Sketchfab Store without a PayPal Business account, so we're not currently able to offer the option to sell and save money through Sketchfab. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@3DBUG - We hope to add another payment option such as Payoneer, but I have no ETA yet.

@FeisalKassim - You should hear from our team soon. I'll ask them to check your status.

I'm hoping Payoneer is another option for receiving payments as my country doesn't have Paypal's service of accepting payment.

    Hi @alav @6500652 @3dcaster @ape.cgart and others,

Good news - we're testing a new payment process with PayPal for the Sketchfab Store. It is called the Casual Seller option and you should be able to find it by clicking the "Link your PayPal" button within your Sketchfab Account Settings and going through the PayPal on-boarding.

Once you're linked, you should be verified by PayPal and ready to sell! Best of luck! Feel free to email support@sketchfab.com with any questions.

@vineet - During what step of the process? You should now be able to link a personal PayPal account. It's no longer necessary to upgrade to Business.

Hello, I had a question regarding payment and becoming a seller.

Since I'm not old enough to have my own PayPal account, is it okay to use my mom's and link it up to my Sketchfab account? I would ask her first of course, I just wanted to make sure it was legally okay. Is there also an age requirement for being a seller on Sketchfab? The usual, "You must be 18 years or older to [insert thing here]".

I wanted to check these two things before I start making models and applying.

    Thanks in advance,

    Vel

    Hi Vel,

That should be ok! You must be at least 13 years old to use Sketchfab, and if you are under 18 you must have consent from a parent or guardian. You can read more in our Terms of service, section 1.4:

    Hi!

Can you tell how is the VAT paid/calculated? Is it included in the price?

I think as you are the marketplace you have to care about that, because PayPal doesn't.

    Thank you

    Hello,

All transactions are legally between Sketchfab Inc and the buyers, so the question of VAT doesn’t technically impact the sellers. We're currently working to make this process as seamless as possible.

    Hi,

Let's say I am a UK based company.

If I get it right, this is the process:

I set a price for 5 USD, Sketchfab puts a VAT (VAT is based on country) on that price, if the seller is UK based, than it is 20%, so the price will be 6 USD and this is what a customer will pay in the UK.

My company will get 5 USD - (34.4% + 3 Cent) = 3.25 USD  from Sketchfab through PayPal.

    Am I correct?

Nope, all models are sold by Sketchfab, Inc. (our US legal entity, based in New York City). So, if the buyer is located anywhere in the world outside of New York State, sales tax is zero. The seller's location is irrelevant.

    Hi,
Yesterday I got my paypal account verified and my models became visible on store. But today its unlinked. Why this is happened? Why my account was unlinked afrter confirmation?
I tryed to link it again several times this morning with no success.
    Thanks

Hi @egelsky, It looks like something is disconnected between the Sketchfab Store and your PayPal account. I'll be emailing you from the Sketchfab end to troubleshoot this with you.

@315662412 We're still looking into alternative additional payment services. We'll be sure to inform the community as soon as this becomes a reality.

@mrzool You'll see the PayPal button in your Account Settings once our team reviews your seller application and approves your work. You'll be notified via email if you haven't already been. Thanks!
