Apply to become a seller
Quality work and fair pricing are critical to the success of our sellers and the Sketchfab Store as a whole.
In order to become a seller, we will review your portfolio to see if it meets the following criteria:
- Make sure your Sketchfab portfolio is representative of your work.
- All models, textures, and/or animations must be your original property.
- Work is modeled to an acceptable industry standard in keeping with other sellers in the store.
- Thumbnails, titles, and descriptions accurately reflect the items for sale.
- Models are accurately UV mapped when UVs are used.
- Clean topology is employed.
- Textures (when used) and materials are optimized and efficient.
- Models specifically sold for 3D printing are water-tight and appropriately constructed.
See our Seller Guidelines for more details, or browse our store to get a sense of the kind of quality we consider acceptable.
Link your PayPal account
Once you've applied and our Store team has approved you to become a seller, you must link your PayPal account to your Sketchfab account. (We hope to offer alternative payment services in the future.)
You can connect your PayPal account under your Account Settings.
Choosing your PayPal type
There are two ways to connect your PayPal account to Sketchfab: Business or Personal.
PayPal Business
When connecting your PayPal from your Account Settings, you'll notice a PayPal Business account is available. This is a free PayPal upgrade with no additional fees.
You can use this account type as an individual instead of a registered business too. We recommend the following settings – "Individual", "Entertainment and media", "Digital media, books, movies, music" – this will require no more business records, VAT information, etc.
Make sure to check both boxes during the linking process, agreeing to PayPal's User Agreement as well as giving the proper permissions to Sketchfab. This is required for the PayPal connection to be successful.
PayPal Personal
If you'd like to sell using the Personal option, check the option for "Casual Seller" after clicking the "Link" button under your Account Settings.
Final steps to connect
You may see "Waiting for PayPal verification" in your Account Settings after connecting your PayPal account. You should receive an email from Sketchfab shortly after that (anywhere from several minutes to more than an hour), verifying your PayPal Business account is verified and linked.
Once you've been accepted to be a Sketchfab seller and your PayPal account has been successfully linked, it's time to set up your store!

I just got a sale payout on a model I sold, the original price is 50, I notice the lumpsome is less than 2/3 of 50. Then I see sketchfab took the 1/3 after the 25%off black Friday promotion. The sale event is your organization's decision, I did not consent to that, why don't you guys take it out of your own 30% cut?
Shape way sale and discount code never deduct from my markup!
It's not like I lost a lot of money, but this makes me feel a bit cheated. The same thing doesn't happen on steam for publishers, epic got in trouble with bloodline for this exact issue!
Hi @Avalanche9 - That’s not true at all. More than 90% of the sellers on the Sketchfab Store are free members. When did you apply to become a seller? You should have received some messages from our team.
Hi! Now it's 2020! I think it would be great if you could add, in addition to Paypal, another payment processor, as a Payoneer! Something like this would mean a lot to a lot of people who, for example, don't have paypal or in case of some kind of account lockout, a problem with paypal or something like I almost had ... so there is a choice or an option to switch the system payments.
add Payoneer please!
two years passed waiting payoneer....add Payoneer PLZ!
How much will I wait for my order to be reviewed
do i need to verify my account before i could compete in sketchfab challenges?
Hello,
No, Sketchfab challenges and contests are almost always unrelated to the Store / Seller accounts.
In the guidelines it states,
What about textures that were obtained from CC0 sources?
thanks,
Paul
You are allowed to sell models that contain textures or other components obtained under CC0.
Please grow up the selling sytem which only accept Paypal.
Maybe directly using credit or debit cards, maybe Sketchfab between sellers iban's transfering or maybe Webmoney, Payoneer etc and unfortunately maybe barter exchange :)
Thanks.
Hell of a shame that the industry standard is still to leave the artist with only 50% of his earnings after 30% commission, taxes, and payment processing fees. Used to respect Sketchfab a lot, this irks me.
270 3d model++ waiting payoneer.
or Opening a store without Paypal should be active. or must have a money holding option. Three years have passed, nobody heard of us.
wire transfer bank account Three years have passed I waiting
I was really hoping to upload my models here...unfortunately PayPal doesn't work in my country (i can buy stuff with it but it can't receive cash thanks to my country's beloved laws).
I just want to say all the best to all the creators on this site! Do us justice you guys and upload some quality content. *smiles bitterly*
To the devs... we haven't lost hope.
Is the future already here, when will there be other payment services like Payoneer? =(
Never, its been 3 years they said that they'll add other payment methods.
PayPal is not working in my country, we need other payment options =(
Payoneer ++, or bank account, please.
Epic bought them, maybe something will change now

Hi ChocoCookie - it looks like you have not been approved as a seller. You can contact our Store team (store@sketchfab.com) for more information on the status of your application.
How long does it take to get approved as a seller??
You should usually receive a reply from our Store team in just a few days, but there was some delay due to the holidays these past few weeks. For anything related to seller applications, contact store@sketchfab.com.
Hi
i have been waiting for 2 weeks for applying my account as a seller but nothing happened
i need help my whole progress is stopped because of this
it aint working for me
Hello,
The Sketchfab Store is utilizing a particular PayPal product and API integration called PayPal for Marketplaces, which is not supported in every country. Unfortunately, Israel remains unsupported for this integration.
Our Store team will continue to monitor the situation, as well as PayPal product offerings, and welcome Israel-based sellers on the Sketchfab Store as soon as they are available.
