I've been having problems with chrome not willing to display Sketchfab models for a while now. This worked for me:

    stephenk232:
"If someone here has problem with Chrome that is unavailable to display the 3D view. Please check Chrome Settings-> Advance Settings->System-> stick Use Hardware Acceleration When Available.

Hope it could help you guys !"

    Thanks stephenk232!

Hello! So, I have a top notch custom built PC and my Chrome is up to date. I did the ignore gpu blacklist thing, and I still can't view my own models in anything but 360 view. :\

EDIT: False alarm, I just had Hardware Acceleration disabled. Because some other site doesn't work as well with it on.

@ James The same output in Chrome, so is it some OS issue?

@lysz210 Thanks for the details! I'll pass that on to our developers.

I don't know if this is the correct place to mention this or not but on this model:

    https://sketchfab.com/models/a4bf4a90cde848c59b5d3c85e24c6943

A second after loading it stops looking correct and goes all glitchy. I could take a screen shot of it if needed.

Using latest NVidia drivers, Windows 7 and GTX1070 card so hardly obscure old video card...

@takeko - I'm not sure about the nvidia shield issue. I'm asking around.

@paulelderdesign - Not at the moment. The best thing to do is upgrade to iOS 8.

Are you able to provide a link to that page?

In both cases, I highly suspect that the iframe is being sandboxed (see explanation above) on your sites. The device and browser you use will not change that, it's being set by the website.

You'll see something like this in the raw HTML of the page:

    <iframe ... sandbox="allow-scripts" ... ></iframe>

How are these websites built / configured?

@henderson.bredley - I'm sorry to hear that. Is this happening on all models? Different browsers? Can you please post a screenshot of this report? http://webglreport.com/

Hi, nothing happens on my samsung tab 4. OS android 4.4.2. Tried with up to date Opera, Opera beta, Firefox, Firefox beta, Safari, Chrome, Chrome beta.
I tried http://get.webgl.org on each. It works perfectly. I can see the cube…
But nothing happens with my Sketchfab models…
Did I miss something please ?
    Thanks for your answer

    @espiongerbil

Have you tried enabling the two flags?

    chrome://flags/#ignore-gpu-blacklist

    chrome://flags/#enable-webgl-draft-extensions

  • Avatar
    James

@Peekofwar - Yes, it looks like there is no support for WebGL on the PS4.

    @James

Hi. Yeah, I enabled both those flags and it still doesn't work.

@kinggambit You tried different browsers? What version(s)?

@na-kia If it's working in Chrome beta, it sounds like it's a bug on their end. Maybe specific to your particular OS / graphics card.

@James Firefox works fine. Chrome doesnt however. I just updated Chrome to the latest version today but no success. I have a GTX1080ti. I'll try updating my drivers but I'm guessing it's related to Chrome?

Do you know if there's anyway to let google know about this issue?

Oh wow. My apologies. It may just be me then. I'm using a Nokia Lumia 635.

That error is related to the way the model is embedded (typically when the site is blocking scripts needed to load the viewer), it's not related to your machine, WebGL, etc.

What page do you see this on? Regular model pages? The model page "popup" in galleries? Or an embed on another site somewhere?

I'm using a desktop computer with Windows 10 using the browser Google Chrome, and for some reason I can't get any models to load (if they do load they are 360 images). I can get them to load on my laptop with Windows 10 and Chrome, and I used to be able to on this computer. Please help me.

@lysz210 - This is on model pages? I could not reproduce this on IE 11 v 11.64.xxxx. Can you make sure IE is up-to-date? What operating system are you using?

I know that nobody really cares about this type of phone, but is there any chance that there will be compatibility with Windows Phone?

    MidsouthDroneServices

@James I am trying to embed a Sketchfab into my WP site.  https://www.midsouthdroneservices.com/construction-progress-photos/ .

I simply past the URL into my WP page editor (WPBakery Page Builder) and it works fine on the back end where I am editing the page.  But when I view the page as a visitor (any browser) I get the dreaded grey box and message

It looks like your browser or this site is blocking some scripts or cookies necessary to properly display the viewer.

I can't find where to edit the iframe code???  If you can tell me where to go and edit that I am sure that will fix it.

When a person loads the page as a normal site visitor, the Sketchfab windows shows for about 1 second and then then it immediately switches to the grey window with error message.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
