Onshape is a cloud-based, 3D CAD document system.
Onshape can export models in several formats supported by Sketchfab, including glTF, OBJ, STL, Collada, and IGES. We recommend glTF.
Right click your Part/Assembly and click Export... from the context menu. Or, click Export tab... from the Part tab menu.
Choose GLTF as the Format and any other options as needed. ( Details here ).
You can upload this glTF file directly to Sketchfab.
Then, you can adjust the camera, materials, etc. as needed.
Here's the result:

I am brand new to SketchFab. Been using OnShape for a few years with my students, then one of them used this and I was really impressed. I have 2 questions:
1. If they export an OBJ with multiple parts and set appearance colors, will those come in accurately as well? I would think that would work as opposed to using an STL that would not transfer color.
2. Is it possible to assign colors/textures to faces, parts or sections of a model after they are exported from OnShape and brought into SketchFab? is there potential to assign textures, materials lighting and stuff like that in here?
Hello, and welcome!
1. Yes, as long as the OBJ has materials defined properly, and you include the MTL file with it, they should come through to Sketchfab correctly. They will also be individually editable in 3D Settings after upload if you want to tweak the appearance. Indeed, STL does not support separate materials.
2. Yes, if your materials are defined and have unique names, they will be preserved in Sketchfab and be editable. Assigning textures will depend on whether or not the model has been UV mapped. There are lots of other features you can edit such as lighting, post-processing filters, annotations, etc. I recommend taking a look at some of the other help articles here. For example:

I really appreciate the fast response! I hope to get my middle school students into this soon. Looks like a really great way to modify and annotate 3D content. This will be perfect for our furniture deign project.
Glad to hear it! Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.
